For the Prada Group’s logistics hub in Levanella, Poliflor contributed to the technical integration of green solutions with the building’s architecture, collaborating with Studio Canali Associati during the technical design phase of the greening systems.

Systems used
The intervention involved two distinct areas of the complex, each addressed with the system best suited to the structural and functional characteristics of the surface.
Staff canteen
Plants play a central role in the canteen: they define the rhythm of the table layout and clad the walls, evolving from a purely decorative element into an integral part of the architecture.
To achieve this result, Poliflor employed the Flexiverde® Smart system — an industrialised vertical garden designed for large surfaces, with pre-assembled panels 120 cm wide and heights of up to 300 cm.
The density of plant coverage obtained ensures an immediate visual impact and optimised long-term maintenance.

Integrated modular greening
The second area of intervention is the canteen pavilion roof, featuring a 1,200 square metre pergola positioned ten metres above ground level, forming a horizontal green canopy that shields the area below from direct sunlight.

Technical solutions in support of the project
For the roofing structures, Poliflor developed — in collaboration with Studio Canali Associati — a bespoke solution fully integrated with the building, based on the horizontal application of self-supporting pre-vegetated panels, with no requirement for heavy load-bearing substrates or ground-level planters.
Below are selected technical drawings of the green pergola, developed by Studio Canali.
